Last Monday we announced a prize draw in which somebody would win £100 and a food hamper if nominated by somebody on social media due to the current times of hardship. We had lots of submissions and on Wednesday during a live video Lyn Rigby's name was pulled from a hat. Today we took the hamper and cash gift prize from Wednesday's draw to our deserving winner from Cheadle. We also awarded £20 to Karen Mace, the lady who nominated Lyn, and drew a second name from the hat and awarded Chris Lewis another hamper.
Whilst at Lyn's house we saw the lovely tribute section in her garden to her son Lee, who was senselessly killed 7 years ago outside the Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich. Lyn also wants a water feature to sit and chat with Lee of an evening, plus the beautiful commemorative stone that she has setting (seen in the picture) in a brick feature wall. VaLu Construction is looking forward to creating this dream for Lyn.
Lyn also raises funds for the Lee Rigby Foundation, providing getaways for bereaved families, and is also delivering meals to the homeless and the elderly during the pandemic. She is thoroughly deserving of her prize.
Well done Lyn :)
